Apps for High School
High school is hard enough without the added strain of not having the right tools at your disposal. Imagine going through calculus without a textbook!
You can ease the stress of school at least a little by having a good collection of apps to help you get through your long school days and even longer study nights.
Here’s our list of must-have apps for high school students.
Google Docs
High school is all about writing papers and reports. The easiest way to do is through Google Docs, Google’s free service that can be used to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
Google Docs can be used from your computer online or as an iPhone/iPad app. No matter which device you’re working on, all your documents and data are backed up automatically and stored in the cloud on Google Drive.
Flashcards+
Create decks of flashcards to study for your next test, memorize material, or cram for a class. Flashcards+ is free for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and also works with the Apple Watch.
LitCharts
From the creators of SparkNotes comes LitCharts, a free app that summarizes famous works of literature, gives you important quotes from books you’ve read, and explains difficult to understand themes of those dusty old classics your lit teacher insists you read.
LitCharts is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The Homework App
This freebie will help you keep tabs on assignments, class schedules and due dates for projects. A great organizational app to keep you on top of your game, The Homework App works with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and it also syncs with Apple Watch.
Tutors
What if you could get free help with your studies from expert tutors at no charge? You can! The Tutors app helps you search for a tutor and book a lesson with an expert, and all at no charge. Tutors is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
